Adatvédelmi tájékoztató

Hatályos: 2026. október 22.

Röviden: a MesoNotes a saját gépeden tárolja az adataidat. Nincs MesoNotes-szerver, nincs fiók, nincs statisztika vagy követés. Adat csak oda kerül, ahová te kifejezetten beállítod.

Ki felel az adatkezelésért?

A MesoNotes ingyenes, nyílt forrású (GPL-3.0-or-later) asztali program, készítője Mészáros Zoltán, magánszemély. Kapcsolat: contact.mesonotes@gmail.com.

Milyen adatokat tárol a MesoNotes?

A jegyzeteidet, mappáidat, tábláidat, csatolmányaidat és beállításaidat a program a saját gépeden tárolja (Linuxon a felhasználói adatmappában, Windowson a program melletti MesoNotes-data mappában). Ezekhez a készítő nem fér hozzá, és a program nem küldi el őket neki.

A jelszavakat és hozzáférési tokeneket (pl. e-mail, NAS, S3, Google) az operációs rendszer kulcstartójában, titkosítva tárolja.

Mikor kerül adat a gépeden kívülre?

Csak az alábbi, általad bekapcsolt funkcióknál, és csak az általad megadott helyre:

  • Mentés és szinkron: helyi mappába, NAS-ra (SMB), a saját S3 tárolódra, a Google Drive-odra vagy rclone-on át az általad választott tárhelyre (az rclone-kapcsolat adatai a gépeden, a program saját, csak neked olvasható rclone.conf fájljában vannak, és a program közvetlenül azzal a szolgáltatóval beszél). Ha egy helynél bekapcsolod a titkosítást, a program a feltöltés előtt a jelszavaddal titkosítja az adatokat (AES-256-GCM). A Széf tartalma mindig titkosítva hagyja el a gépet.
  • E-mail értesítés: az emlékeztetők és időzítők levelei a te SMTP-szervereden keresztül mennek a megadott címre.
  • Időjárás: a kezdőlapi időjárás-widget a kiválasztott település nevét vagy koordinátáit elküldi az Open-Meteo szolgáltatásnak.
  • Hírek: ha hírforrást adsz meg, a MesoNotes arról a címről tölti le a hírcsatornát (és ha kéred, a teljes cikket és a képeit). Az oldal üzemeltetője ezt úgy látja, mint bármely böngészős látogatást (pl. az IP-címedet).
  • Közösségi nyelvek: ha a beállításokban fordítást keresel vagy töltesz le (vagy az új verzió figyelése be van kapcsolva), a program a fordítások listáját és a választott fordítást a MesoNotes GitLab-oldaláról tölti le. Rólad semmit nem küld.
  • Beágyazott videók: ha YouTube-videót illesztesz egy jegyzetbe, a lejátszó a YouTube-ról (youtube-nocookie.com) töltődik be.
  • Webcikk mentése: ha egy cikket webcímről mentesz, a MesoNotes közvetlenül arról az oldalról tölti le (és ha kéred, a képeit is). Az oldal üzemeltetője ezt úgy látja, mint bármely böngészős látogatást (pl. az IP-címedet); más nem kap adatot.
  • Új verzió figyelése (opcionális): ha az első indításkor megjelenő kérdésre igent mondasz, vagy a beállításokban bekapcsolod, a program naponta egyszer letölti erről a honlapról a kiadások listáját (egy kis fájl a verziószámmal), és jelzi, ha van újabb. Rólad és a jegyzeteidről semmit nem küld, magától semmit nem tölt le és nem telepít. A tárhelyszolgáltató (GitLab Pages) a letöltést úgy látja, mint bármely látogatást (pl. az IP-címedet). Amíg nem engedted meg – és ha kikapcsolod –, ilyen lekérés nincs.
  • Google Naptár: lásd alább.
  • Google Drive (opcionális szinkron és mentés): lásd alább.
  • Saját naptárak iCal-címmel (opcionális, csak olvasás): lásd alább.

Google Naptár

A Google Naptár-kapcsolat nem kötelező. Ha bekapcsolod, a MesoNotes a Google bejelentkezési képernyőjén engedélyt kér, és csak a jóváhagyott hozzáférést használja:

  • létrehoz a Google-fiókodban egy külön, „MesoNotes” nevű naptárat, és abba írja a MesoNotes-ban megadott dátumos jegyzeteket, határidős kártyákat és emlékeztetőket (cím, időpont, emlékeztetők), hogy a Google akkor is értesíthessen, amikor a MesoNotes nem fut;
  • a „MesoNotes” naptárban a Google-ban végzett módosításokat visszaolvassa a MesoNotes-ba;
  • a naptáraid listáját csak azért olvassa, hogy megtalálja a saját „MesoNotes” naptárát. A Google-kapcsolaton keresztül a többi naptárad eseményeihez nem fér hozzá.

A Google-tól kapott adatokat a MesoNotes csak a gépeden tárolja és jeleníti meg. Nem küldi el a készítőnek vagy harmadik félnek, nem használja hirdetésre, és nem használja mesterséges intelligencia vagy gépi tanulási modellek tanítására.

A MesoNotes Google API-któl kapott adatokat érintő használata és továbbítása megfelel a Google API Services User Data Policy előírásainak, beleértve a Limited Use (korlátozott felhasználás) követelményeit.

A hozzáférés visszavonása: a MesoNotes beállításaiban a „Leválasztás” törli a tokeneket a gépedről. A hozzáférést a Google-fiókodban is bármikor visszavonhatod: myaccount.google.com/permissions. A „MesoNotes” naptárat a Google Naptárban törölheted.

Google Drive

A Google Drive-szinkron és -mentés nem kötelező. Ha bekapcsolod, a MesoNotes a Google bejelentkezési képernyőjén engedélyt kér, és csak a jóváhagyott hozzáférést használja:

  • a saját Google Drive-odon létrehoz egy „MesoNotes” mappát, és abba tölti fel a szinkronizált munkaterület jegyzeteit, csatolmányait és beállításait, hogy a többi gépeden futó MesoNotes letölthesse őket, illetve – ha kéred – a munkaterület biztonsági mentéseit;
  • csak azokat a fájlokat és mappákat látja, amelyeket maga hozott létre (a Google „drive.file” jogosultsága). A Drive-od többi tartalmához nem fér hozzá, azt nem tudja olvasni, módosítani vagy törölni;
  • a fájlok a te Drive-odon a Google saját feltételei szerint tárolódnak; ha a Drive-nál bekapcsolod a titkosítást, csak titkosítva (a Széf tartalma mindig titkosítva van).

Az adatok közvetlenül a te géped és a Google között mozognak; a MesoNotes készítője nem kapja meg és nem látja őket. A Google-tól kapott adatokat a MesoNotes nem küldi el harmadik félnek, nem használja hirdetésre, és nem használja mesterséges intelligencia vagy gépi tanulási modellek tanítására; ezekre is a fenti Google API Services User Data Policy és a Limited Use követelményei vonatkoznak.

A hozzáférés visszavonása és törlés: a MesoNotes beállításaiban a „Leválasztás” törli a tokent a gépedről, és visszavonja a hozzáférést. A Drive-on lévő „MesoNotes” mappát a Google Drive-ban bármikor törölheted; a hozzáférést a myaccount.google.com/permissions oldalon is visszavonhatod.

Saját naptárak iCal-címmel

Ha szeretnéd, hogy a Google Naptárban (vagy Outlookban, iCloudban, Nextcloudban) vezetett eseményeid a MesoNotes-ban is megjelenjenek, megadhatod a naptárad iCal-címét (a Google-nál: „Titkos cím iCal formátumban”). Ez nem kötelező, és a Google-kapcsolattól független.

  • A MesoNotes csak olvassa ezeket a naptárakat: negyedóránként letölti őket arról a címről, amit te adtál meg, és megjeleníti az eseményeket. Semmit nem ír vissza, nem módosít és nem töröl.
  • A letöltés közvetlenül a te géped és a naptár szolgáltatója (pl. a Google) között történik; a szolgáltató a letöltést a saját szabályai szerint naplózhatja (pl. IP-cím).
  • A letöltött események csak a gépeden vannak, sehová nem kerülnek tovább, a készítőhöz sem.
  • A titkos címet a MesoNotes a gép kulcstartójával titkosítva, csak azon a gépen tárolja; a beállításokban, a mentésekben és a szinkronban nincs benne.
  • Ha egy naptárat eltávolítasz a MesoNotes-ból, a címe és a letöltött eseményei is törlődnek a gépről.

Hibajelentés

A MesoNotes magától semmilyen hibajelentést nem küld. A program a saját hibaüzeneteit egy kis naplófájlba írja a gépeden (mesonotes.log az alkalmazásadatok között); ez a fájl csak akkor hagyja el a gépedet, ha te hibajelentést küldesz, és hozzájárulsz a csatolásához.

Hibajelentést te küldhetsz, e-mailben: a programból (Névjegy → Hibajelentés) vagy a honlap Hibajelentés oldaláról. A programból küldött jelentésben az általad kitöltött jegyzet, a belé tett képek, a géped műszaki adatai (programváltozat, operációs rendszer, asztali környezet, kijelzők, mely funkciók vannak bekapcsolva) és – ha bepipálva hagyod – a hibanapló vége van; a küldés előtt a program megmutatja, mi megy el. A honlap űrlapja semmit nem küld és nem tárol: a saját levelezőprogramodat nyitja meg a kész szöveggel.

A levelet és az e-mail címedet a készítő kapja meg, és csak a hiba kivizsgálására, javítására és a neked szóló válaszra használja; harmadik félnek nem adja át. Ha kéred, törli.

Statisztika, hirdetés, sütik

A MesoNotes nem gyűjt használati statisztikát, nem jelenít meg hirdetést, és nem követ. Ez a weboldal nem használ sütiket, nem tölt be külső szkriptet vagy betűtípust. A nyelvválasztást a böngésződ helyi tárolójában jegyzi meg. A tárhelyet a GitLab Pages biztosítja, amely technikai naplót vezethet (pl. IP-cím) a GitLab adatvédelmi szabályai szerint.

Az adataid törlése

Minden adatod a te gépeden és a te tárolóidon van, így te törölheted: a programban (Beállítások → Munkaterületek, illetve „Minden törlése”), az adatmappa törlésével, vagy a mentéseid törlésével a saját tárolódról.

Változások

Ha ez a tájékoztató változik, a frissített változat ezen az oldalon jelenik meg, új hatálybalépési dátummal.

Privacy policy

In short: MesoNotes keeps your data on your own computer. There is no MesoNotes server, no account, no analytics and no tracking. Data only goes where you explicitly set it to go.

Who is responsible?

MesoNotes is a free, open-source (GPL-3.0-or-later) desktop app made by Zoltán Mészáros, a private individual. Contact: contact.mesonotes@gmail.com.

What data does MesoNotes store?

Your notes, folders, boards, attachments and settings are stored on your own computer (on Linux in your user data folder, on Windows in the MesoNotes-data folder next to the app). The developer has no access to them, and the app does not send them to the developer.

Passwords and access tokens (for example for email, NAS, S3 or Google) are stored encrypted in your operating system's keychain.

When does data leave your computer?

Only with the features below, when you turn them on, and only to the place you set:

  • Backup and sync: to a local folder, a NAS (SMB), your own S3 storage, your Google Drive or, through rclone, storage you choose (the rclone connection's details stay on your computer, in the program's own rclone.conf readable only by you, and the program talks directly to that provider). If you turn on encryption for a place, the app encrypts the data with your passphrase before uploading it (AES-256-GCM). The content of the Vault always leaves your computer encrypted.
  • Email notifications: reminder and timer emails go through your own SMTP server to the address you set.
  • Weather: the weather widget on the home page sends the name or coordinates of the place you chose to Open-Meteo.
  • News: if you add a news source, MesoNotes downloads its feed from that address (and, if you ask, the whole article and its images). The site's operator sees this like any browser visit (e.g. your IP address).
  • Community languages: if you look for or download a translation in the settings (or looking for new versions is on), the app downloads the list of translations and the one you choose from MesoNotes's GitLab page. It sends nothing about you.
  • Embedded videos: if you embed a YouTube video in a note, the player loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com).
  • Saving a web article: when you save an article from a web address, MesoNotes downloads it (and, if you ask, its images) directly from that site. The site's operator sees this like any browser visit (e.g. your IP address); no one else receives any data.
  • Looking for a new version (optional): if you answer yes to the question at the first start, or switch it on in the settings, the program downloads the list of releases from this website once a day (one small file with the version number) and tells you when there is a newer one. It sends nothing about you or your notes, and it downloads and installs nothing by itself. The hosting provider (GitLab Pages) sees the download like any other visit (e.g. your IP address). Until you allow it – and once you switch it off – there is no such request.
  • Google Calendar: see below.
  • Google Drive (optional sync and backup): see below.
  • Your own calendars by their iCal address (optional, read only): see below.

Google Calendar

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. When you turn it on, MesoNotes asks for permission on Google's consent screen and only uses the access you approve:

  • it creates a separate calendar named "MesoNotes" in your Google account and writes your dated notes, cards with due dates and reminders into it (title, time, reminders), so that Google can notify you even when MesoNotes is not running;
  • it reads back changes you make to the "MesoNotes" calendar in Google;
  • it reads your list of calendars only to find its own "MesoNotes" calendar. Through the Google connection it has no access to the events of your other calendars.

Data received from Google is only stored and shown on your computer. It is not sent to the developer or to any third party, not used for advertising, and not used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

MesoNotes's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access: "Disconnect" in MesoNotes's settings deletes the tokens from your computer. You can also revoke access at any time in your Google account: myaccount.google.com/permissions. You can delete the "MesoNotes" calendar in Google Calendar.

Google Drive

Syncing and backing up through Google Drive are optional. When you turn it on, MesoNotes asks for permission on Google's consent screen and only uses the access you approve:

  • it creates a "MesoNotes" folder in your own Google Drive and uploads the notes, attachments and settings of the synced workspace into it, so that MesoNotes on your other computers can download them, and – if you ask – the workspace's backups;
  • it only sees the files and folders it created itself (Google's "drive.file" permission). It has no access to anything else in your Drive: it cannot read, change or delete it;
  • the files are stored in your Drive under Google's own terms; if you turn on encryption for Drive, only encrypted (the content of the Vault always is).

The data travels directly between your computer and Google; the developer of MesoNotes does not receive or see it. Data received from Google is not sent to any third party, not used for advertising, and not used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models; the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements mentioned above apply here as well.

Revoking access and deleting: "Disconnect" in MesoNotes's settings deletes the token from your computer and revokes the access. You can delete the "MesoNotes" folder in Google Drive at any time, and you can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Your own calendars by their iCal address

If you want the events you keep in Google Calendar (or Outlook, iCloud, Nextcloud) to show in MesoNotes too, you can add your calendar's iCal address (in Google: "Secret address in iCal format"). This is optional and separate from the Google connection.

  • MesoNotes only reads these calendars: it downloads them every 15 minutes from the address you gave and shows their events. It never writes back, changes or deletes anything.
  • The download goes directly between your computer and the calendar's provider (e.g. Google), which may log it under its own rules (e.g. the IP address).
  • The downloaded events stay on your computer; they are not passed on to anyone, including the developer.
  • MesoNotes keeps the secret address encrypted with the system keyring, on that computer only; it is not in the settings, the backups or the sync.
  • Removing a calendar from MesoNotes deletes its address and its downloaded events from the computer.

Bug reports

MesoNotes never sends a bug report by itself. The program writes its own error messages into a small log file on your computer (mesonotes.log in the application data); that file leaves your computer only if you send a bug report and agree to attach it.

You can send a bug report by email: from the program (About → Report a bug) or from the Report a bug page of this site. A report sent from the program holds the note you filled in, the pictures you put into it, technical details of your computer (program version, operating system, desktop environment, displays, which features are switched on) and — if you leave it ticked — the end of the error log; before sending, the program shows you what goes. The form on the website sends and stores nothing: it opens your own mail program with the text ready.

The message and your email address reach the developer, who uses them only to look into and fix the problem and to answer you; they are not passed on to anyone. They are deleted if you ask.

Analytics, ads, cookies

MesoNotes collects no usage statistics, shows no ads and does no tracking. This website uses no cookies and loads no third-party scripts or fonts; it remembers your language choice in your browser's local storage. It is hosted on GitLab Pages, which may keep technical logs (such as IP addresses) under GitLab's privacy policy.

Deleting your data

All your data is on your computer and your own storage, so you control its deletion: in the app (Settings → Workspaces, or "Delete everything"), by deleting the data folder, or by deleting your backups from your own storage.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new effective date.
